Hi.

I’m Issaka, better known as Imho.

I’m a Nigerien (from Niger, not Nigeria please) architect, graduated from EAMAU (Togo) in 2015 and I enjoy Tea,  books, video games and cats.

You can find me on Twitter (@Issakimho).

Inspired by websites like nonscandinavia, I founded Afrikut because I was tired to always use the same boring and not fitting assets in my architecture renderings.

African (and Black People in general) are under-represented in Architecture renderings. It’s very common to find renderings of projects in Africa populated by westeners. Not because African Architects prefer it that way but because finding pictures of African people is a real struggle.

I noticed I wasn’t the only one who makes this complaint so I decided to create Afrikut, the African cutout library.

AFRIKUT is an attempt to increase diversity in architectural representation through the provision of free, high-res, cut out people of all kinds. I hope this project increases dialogue and awareness of diversity in architectural curriculum.

You can download the pictures for free.

I don’t accept donations but If you want to support the project, you can purchase the packs here.

I hope you enjoy the work !
