Afrikut provides African cut-out images for architectural representation, education, research and visual communication.

This page explains the difference between the free library and the paid packs.

Free Library

Images made available for free on Afrikut are intended for educational, academic and non-commercial architectural use only, unless Afrikut gives written permission for another use.

You may use free images to populate architectural drawings, renderings, presentations, student work, research projects and non-commercial publications, provided that:

  • the architectural project remains the main subject of the work;
  • the images are not used as stand-alone portraits, stock photos or advertising material;
  • the images are not resold, redistributed, repackaged or offered as downloadable assets;
  • the images are not used in a misleading, defamatory, discriminatory or harmful context;
  • Afrikut is credited when the work includes credits or source references.

Most free images have not been licensed for commercial use and may depict everyday people rather than professional models. Free images may not be used for commercial work unless you have obtained all required rights, releases and permissions, or unless Afrikut gives written permission.

Paid Packs

Paid packs are designed for professional and commercial architectural visualization use.

When you purchase a paid pack, you receive a lifetime license for one company or organization, unless a different license is stated on the product page or invoice.

The paid-pack license allows you to:

  • use the images in architectural renderings, diagrams, presentations, competitions, client work and commercial architectural communication;
  • use the images in internal and client-facing documents;
  • keep using the purchased files for future projects under the same company license.

The paid-pack license does not allow you to:

  • resell, redistribute, share, publish, transfer or sublicense the original image files;
  • upload the files to stock-image platforms, marketplaces, asset libraries or AI training datasets;
  • use the images as the main subject of merchandise, posters, advertising campaigns or unrelated product promotion;
  • claim authorship or ownership of the original image files;
  • use the images in unlawful, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory or harmful contexts.

AI-Generated Images

Some Afrikut images may be AI-generated and manually edited. When this is the case, the product page or collection may mention it.

Users remain responsible for checking whether an image is suitable for their intended use, especially for commercial, editorial, legal or sensitive contexts.
